Comment: Yikes! again I say yikes! Attack of the bird people. about the only thing redeeming in this book was the LAM. If it had been written as a stand alone Sci-Fi with no ties to Battletech, then maybe. But as a BT novel I have to give it a thumbs down.

Comment: The one, the only, the best TRO I have had a chance to read and use. The art was good, the info...informative.Whoever did the art for the later TRO's could take a lesson from this one. This is the TRO that really helped me get hooked, and I bougt it after the 3050 TRO.Being an old warhorse, I have always enjoyed the challenge of battling with out dated tech, and this TRO outlines the best of that tech and does it very well. Why did the LAM's have to leave? *sniff*

Comment: I almost had tears in my eyes when I saw the picture on this box set. This was my first intro to the world of Battletech. Severly outdated, I know, but a must have for ANY battletech enthusiast. Reading the fiction in the sidebars of the rule book made me hunger to know more about the BT universe. The artwork didn't hurt my eyes, either. The little cardboard stand ups are a far cry from the mini's that are available, but are sufficient to get you started. all in all, a very good introduction to the World of Battletech
