Though it misses the classic over the shoulder missile launcher it's nevertheless a nice Thunderbolt.
The heavy main weapon will give any opponent a bad day and the pulse lasers will have no problem with fast flankers.
ECM, heavy armor and a standard engine make this mech hard to take down.
Jump jets are useful too in many occasions.
The only (slight) problem is the short range of its backup lasers. |

I like this Mech a lot more than i should. But it does have everything it should have. Solid armour (heaviest of its tonnage for this era) Excellent primary weapon. Excellent support weapons and electronics (TC,ECM) Mobility average to good with the addition of JJs heat fine.
The only problems i can see is that the weapons don't mix that well, too much range difference
The only change id make is to swap the arm mounted Md Pulse for A ER Medium and and an extra ton of armour or ammo though you would have to lose a hand actuator to fit it so um...... |

This can be a good filler sniper but i would personally strip out 1 more medpulse for another ton of ammo. And then maybe another med laser.
Medpulses while good are too short range and the mech will be force to use the Gauss alot. |

This is a good sniper. The JJ's let it find a good position and snipe away. The targeting computer and pulses can stop most mechs sent to get rid of you. The ECM also lets you move in close and disrupt enemy C3 networks. This isn't quite as good as the 10SE, but it'll still give most mechs a run for their money. |

You know, the TC is what made this design good, but the addition of the gauss rifle kind of took away from that. Not that the gauss wont inflict some heavy damage, mind you. The four medium pulse lasers will do a very nice job of cutting armor from targets, but firing all of them at once might be a little bit much for the DHS to handle. Keeping the jump jets adds to the mechs mobility, which is good. And with an ECM this mech can sit in a relatively safe place and snipe away without too much fear of reprisal. |
