==Overview:==
Although the Cappellen Confederation has made great strides towards
reconquering lost territory, it is still one of the poorer houses. Because
this many of the new fancy weapons being used by other House Regulars are n
being seen by the House Liao troops.

One of these new weapons is the Goblin Infantry Support Vehicle upgrade.
Designed to take on Clan Elementals, the new Goblin used the latest technol
and a special vehicle Fusion engine. The cost of the unit alone would have
bought a lance of regular Armored Personal Carriers for House Liao. With an
on the budget, the military decided another solution was needed.

House Liao turned back to Ivan Maladev who built the Po Heavy Tank. They to
him what they wanted: Something that was equal to or the superior of the Go
Heavy Tank, but built like the Po Heavy Tank, all in house, all cheap.

Ivan Maladev returned the Ogre Infantry Support Vehicle.

==Capabilities:==
The Ogre is another weapon which obviously was taken from a page in Russian
History, look at something that works and attempt to copy it and make it
cheaper at the same time. The Ogre is successful.

In essence the Ogre is a combination Goblin and Po. It is built around two
things, the Ceres 165 Internal Combustion engine and a fairly large infantr
bay, capable of holding almost a platoon of infantry. However, despite such
powerful and dependable engine, and possibly because of the space for the
infantry, the Ogre is slower then the Po, though it carries a far more dive
weapons load.

The real strength of this design is in the weapons load out. Two machine gu
an AC/10, and a Streak SRM-4 make the Ogre a very impressive urban combat
machine. Especially with a platoon of infantry to act as backup and scouts.
slow speed may harm it in flat, open country, but in a city such speed is
ideal, letting the Ogre cruise carefully and thourougly through the city us
Po Heavy Tanks as escorts. It is not even that badly armored compared to it
heavyier cousin, thanks to recently deployed Ferro armor.

The Antimissile system carreid by the Ogre is a twin to that carried by the
Goblin. Used to protect the Ogre from SRM strikes from both Inner Sphere
infantry, battle armor, and Clan Elementals, the AMS is well supported with
generous supply of ammunition and can protect the tank early on in a battle

As the Autocannon and Machine Guns share the same make and type, replacemen
parts are also easy to come by, and technicians can repair and maintain the
Ogre easily in the field. The one part that requires extensive training is
ferro armor, but this is handled by Ceres Metals representatives that come
the tank. Ivan has indeed made another impressive contribution to House Lia
armored forces, and it is suspected that the Ogre will deal heavy damage to
Goblin Infantry Support Vehicle.

==Battle History:==
The Ogre has encountered the Goblin in combat once, though not for the
Cappellen Confederation. Mercenaries opperating in the Chaos March were
fighting a Duke of one of the, now, independent worlds. The Duke had aquire
large number of Goblin tanks and he used them to control the planets only m
city. The Black Stallion Raiders, an Arab Mercenary group, had aquired a la
number of Ogre tanks after a successful contract for House Marik. loading u
their infantry they prepared to attack, the Ogres leading the charge.

The battle was brutal and long, and in the end the city was torn to shreads
The Industrial and Commerce sections had been torn apart by infantry and ta
fighting to control rapidely devaluing property. The Ogres and Goblins squa
off in the Industrial section and their first meeting occured.

Although the battle reports showed that both tanks performed very well in t
built up terrain, Infantry units from both sides ended up claiming the Oger
the victor, not because of superior technology, but because of unsuspected
psychological benefit. The roar of a diesel engine, the continue blasting o
the AC/10 and wave after wave of SRMs and the dakka dakka of machine gun fi
was very intimidating to the defending infantry, who would flee, thinking t
were facing some sort of assault tank, rather then an upper end medium. The
Black Raiders, on the other hand, found the Goblins fairly familiar, barely
registering the Large Pulse Laser and completely missing the sound of its
Fusion engine. The Machine guns were annoying, but the tank did not inspire
raw animal fear that the Ogre did.

==Variants:==
Currently there are no varients.

==Deployment==
Currently the Ogre is being mass produced along with the Po. It is being so
to the Cappellen Confederation, the Free Worlds League, the Taurian Concord
Magistry of Canopous and various Mercenary units throughout the Inner Spher
Other Houses have shown some mild interest, but the FedCom Civil War has
prevented sales from going to any of them.
