Overview:
In an effort to improve on the movement opportunities provided by the jump jets present on most of their designs, House Davion scientists have developed a thrust vectoring system.
Game play:
*The pilot who uses the system must make a piloting skill roll (base + 1 per every turn in a row used). If the pilot is successful, then the mech is no longer required to travel in a straight line while jumping.
*If the pilot gets a natural 12 on the roll, then the margin of success divided by 2 is the number of additional hexes the mech can go; these extra hexes generate no heat.
Glitch:
*Failure means that the mech must travel in a straight line that turn.
*On a roll of 3, the system malfunctions and cannot be used again until repaired.
*On a roll of 2, the system fails utterly. Not only can it not be used until repaired, but the pilot must make a skill roll (at a 2 point penalty) to keep a random jump jet from being destroyed.
