A one man jet pack has existed since the sixties. They even made recent improvements that extended it's flight time over 50%. Too bad they only started with 20 seconds of flight time. It was a one way ticket to a broken neck. And since it howled like a banshee it had about zero military applications.
The real advantages this thing has is longer flight time and quiet operations. It may redefine the role of cavalry scouts. Pretty impresive.

Yeah the scout could sit in a tank, protected by the armor, and then the tank finds the perfect sniping spot and this guy launches from the back with a laser range finder or something and can scout the terrain in front of the tank. Combines VTOL and tank rushes into one. OR! AND JUST IMAGINE THIS! Put this thing up to 10,000 feet with a high powered sniper rifle.

Hell, just imagaine what you could do to an enemy camp with that thing and a sack of hand grenade. Better yet, some kind of automated grenade dropper. _________________ "Those who beat their guns into plows will plow for those with guns..." -Thomas Jefferson
