Overview:
An interm design between the creation of Protomechs and the technology being expanded into
even heavier and tougher designs, the Medusa is a heavy missile platform. Utilizing the
maximum tonnage for its time this protomech briefly saw success on the battlefields of York.
Capabilities:
A massive LRM-16 is the core and only weapon on the Medusa. Nine salvos of ammo were
carried. Speed is limited, but the addition of jump jets allows enhanced mobility. That
mobility is especially pronounced in the built up terrain that favors abush via indirect
fire. Armor on the core of the unit is maximized while sacrifices were made on the less
vital and harder to hit locations.
Deployment:
Of interesting coincidence, this design was also created in the United Freeman Brane. Of
note is the higher accuracy of its missile system, scoring almost as many hits as a full
LRM-20.

So this is a version of the first design I ever posted on Solaris7. Also got me my first
review, "look its the magical man from munchin land." Paraphrased. Its been like 25 years
since then.
The rules were a bit different then, thus this is now filed as a United Freeman Brane unit.
Non standard numbered launchers used to round up to the next highest cluster column. Thus
it really was rolling as if it were an LRM-20.
