Why decrease the overall tonnage by 5 tons? You actually loose tonnage that could be put into weapons or armor versus the 60 ton frame when making a 4/6 BattleMech.

I think it was a space issue and the AES. I tried for LL and LB5-X, but mentally justified dropping the weight to 55 tons as the 1N was 50 tons. Then swapped to LB2-X due to weight issues. _________________ one must work hard to cultivate the mind and body. and one must always cultivate the mind.

Oh yeah, that’s right. I had forgotten AES changed mass and crits heavy vs medium and didn’t include it with my other checks to verify the mass.
Ok. Makes sense now.
