Variants:
The Stalker IIC was a joint development project between Defiance Industries, Clan
Wolf-in-Exile and the Wolf?s Dragoons to make a powerful, rugged assault ?Mech that would be
virtually unstoppable. The design team very nearly succeeded. Keeping the best of what made
the Stalker a great assault machine, and building from that basis, the internal skeleton was
reinforced to make it far more robust, and this base is covered in 16.5 tons of
ferro-lamellor armor to provide additional protection against armor-penetration attacks.
Additional armoring was added internally to protect the fusion core, gyro, shoulder and hip
actuators and the cockpit. Inner Sphere weapons were replaced with their Clan equivalents,
while the laser batteries were upgraded to extended range varieties. As final measures of
protection, advanced cellular ammunition storage systems were added to protect all missile
bays, and an advanced ECM suite was added in the head. Of course, some compromises had to
be made. These came in the form of the extra-light engine and small cockpit, and a somewhat
limited heat exchange system, which, although added by the BattleMech?s advanced battle
computer, still has difficulty managing the massive amounts of heat that can be built up
during combat.

Since its introduction, Clan Wolf has also begun fielding the design, which has received a
baptism in fire both during the battles fought in the Lyran Commonwealth against the Jade
Falcons, as well as in the taking of Terra by Clan Wolf. Current projects are underway
looking to further improve the design, perhaps with improved heavy lasers, adavanced heat
sink systems, or even through the use of triple strength myomer.
