The bite seems nasty, but it needs to get uncomfortably close to use it. I'd sacrifice those extra four points of damage from the small lasers for the range provided even by standard MLs anytime. ER MLs would be even better. Any fluff to explain this configuration?

Problem with ERMLs on an Owens is the use of single heat sinks. Really forces you to use standard lasers on the thing, which is unfortunate.
