For those of you who have played my games previously, I've tweaked a couple rules and will be doing a couple things differently starting with this game. Some of these you may not even notice are different. Here's a summary:
- For units which end in the same hex, the player with the higher initiative will have 24 hours to declare what they want to do. The rules indicate what the options are. In the event this happens, I'll reach out to you via message, Facebook, email, etc., to try to resolve it. I was already do this the last game, but I had never updated the rules page. Now it's official!
- The order in which I resolve fire has been changed so I roll results for players with higher initiatives first. Previously I always rolled low to high. Movement will still be low to high, but fire is now reversed.
- Scoring during the end phase has been tweaked. Previously if someone was destroyed during piloting/unconscious rolls, I split the kill and points. In most cases, this is likely to still be the case, but on occasions where the it is clear and obvious who caused the player's destruction, only one person will be awarded the kill and points. For example, one player does 5 armor damage, but another crits a gyro. If the unit falls, only the player who got the gyro crit would get the points.
- I'm no longer going to continue rolling damage once a unit is destroyed. Previously I continued rolling damage for the weapon that did the kill-shot. So ammo explosions would tranfer to the CT, I'd roll critical chances, etc. Now, once you're unit is considered destroyed,
no further damage or rolls will take place. - The deadline for sending me your movement/firing declarations is being changed to 10am. I always had it at 10pm and not once did I turn it around that same night. So, this is really just a formality.
- Finally, and this will likely have the biggest impact for some, I'm no longer going to use Facebook or Email to send notices when results are posted, or reminders that declarations are due. Everything will be done strictly through site messaging. In the case there needs to be a clarification, or some back-and-forth is required, I can use Facebook or email to expedite it, but otherwise I will avoid the use of those for regular game notices.
That's it! Let me know if there are any questions about any of these. _________________ Mordel Blacknight - Site Administrator

I changed yours for you, but for the benefit of others. Here's how you do it.
1) Click your username in the Navigation panel to the left
2) Click the Edit profile link at the top
3) Scroll down and check the appropriate response to be notified on new site messages

This scenario is a lot of fun, no matter which mech you choose.. I've won this with a stock spider more than a couple times, and I've seen heavies win this race by destroying everything that tries to run by them. It becomes a management of to hit numbers...
Best finish I was part of, my spider crossed the line the last turn only to take a head hit during the fire phase. The crit involved got my pilot, which sucked on so many levels. Even worse though, the person firing the shot and the winner of that race was my son....
Unfortunately, I am headed for Ireland for almost 3 weeks, so I will have to see how everyone is doing when I get back. _________________ "My Blood is not mine to give, it belongs to my Brothers"

I think you also lost a Race at TotalCon when you were passed beyond the finish line in the move phase...it was Mrs. Casey if I recall correctly. _________________ www.210sportsblog.com

Which leads to an interesting rules question...it's not actually the first to cross the finish line who wins, but who crosses the farthest after the turn is over and survives the turn, right? _________________ www.210sportsblog.com

Whoever crosses it first is the winner. Movement is simultaneous, but there is a move order. So if two are close to the end, init matters. Crossing it but not winning because there was a fire phase you dies in AFTER crossing it, well, that would be silly. _________________ Mordel Blacknight - Site Administrator
