(I don't have HMP up and running right now, so I'm doing this all by hand)
Base Chassis - 3S Banshee
Modifications:
*21 standard heat sinks is replaced with 14 double heat sinks. New distribution calls for two DHS in each arm.
*3.5 additional tons of standard armor, with all locations being brought up to maximum.
*CASE added to each side torso to protect the ammo.
*an ECM suite added to the left torso to maximize its close-range capabilities.
*a medium laser added to the right arm for increased ranged firepower.
Fluff:
After helping the police make a series of arrests in a case against a major organized crime syndicate, the mechwarrior stable Olympus Mons received a confiscated 3S Banshee as a reward for their efforts. Although a solid machine, the machine was past its prime and needed an overhaul in order to truly stay competitive as a fighting machine due to the number of newer, more powerful mechs that were beginning to see service in the stables. As such, when the stable recruited mechwarrior Jixin Tsang, he was given the machine as his own and told to customize it however he saw fit.
The first major change was converting the standard heat sinks to double heat sinks, thereby providing the needed heat dissipation with less total tonnage devoted to it, freeing up weight for a number of other alterations. From there, Tsang, worried about overall survivability in the field, made it a point to add CASE to both side torsos and max out the total armor protection for the unit. Then, to help the machine when it came to close combat, an ECM suite was added to make the machine harder to spot and a medium laser was tacked on for the sake of extra firepower.
Due to his successes in the arena, a number of individual mechwarriors with 3S models have reportedly begun converting their machines over to 3J models as resources permit.
