I would like to hear what people think are the dumbest, stupidest, craziest mech designs, both FASA and not. The moshpit is a wonderful way the bring these things out.

1. Mech with 15 SSRM-4 (I hate you Mordel )
2. Mech with 3(!) AC/20 (same creator as #1)
3. Mech with about 40 or so ER-Smalls
4. Mech with 40 or so MG playing with quadruple ranges (it was Solaris)
5. Mech that ran+MASC+Supercharge at almost 500 km/h (who hasn't made one?)
6. Blackhawk PRIME
7. 5 ton vehicle with all armor on front and the rest was engine, he would run it into legs of mechs
8. Mech that had 30+ tons of MG ammo and 1 MG in the head
9. The original Charger. 5 smalls wont even scare infantry.

Ah, still that thing hurt for about 3 turns until it ran out of ammo. Mostly because we started 1 hex away from eachother.

I've always feared those 100 tonners with 3x myomer and an axe......nasty!

My favorite opponent built a support mech that mounted two LRM-20s and an AC/20. Also
three or four Medium Lasers. Only thing he forgot to add was speed, it moved 2/3. Not that impressive for an 80-tonner.

I have no fear of a couple of LRM20s so that mech would have had issues against even a medium mech if I was piloting it...

I have made #3. My Cousin like2 to take Savannah Masters, Remove the weapons, Fill them with explosives and a remote controller.
And run them into mech going full speed and blowing them up.

I have a 100 ton Mace wielding Mech with 3xMyomers and some Pulse lasers.....

#1 looks alot like Casey's mech.. I think he put in Strk 2s though, so every missle he fired hit.. Was an ugly way to die.

Casey used 3 tons of SRM2 ammo in that game...killed many, many mechs

The craziest, not to mention most powerful, mech I ever saw (and made) was a 100 tonner with two hatchets. This was back when dual hatchet use was not prohibited. It could move 5/8 when at 9 heat, and it mounted 8+ medium lasers and an ER PPC. It could do over 110 points of damage in a single turn.

I dont know why 2 hatchets in one turn is not allowed if 2 punches are allowed. Thate why one of my favorite Lvl 1 mechs is the 9Q banshee. 4/6/0, AC/20, Sm laser, and 2 punches a turn.

The reason it is not allowed is because it is rather unbalancing. The most powerful hatchet attack can do 40 points of concentrated damage to a single location. If you allow dual hatchets, you get damage from melee attack that cannot be equaled by regular weapons.
