well I like the primary configuration. I use Vampire's rule for AC/2's, making them AC/3's instead, so 6 points of damage at good range is a fairly nice thing.
However, I'm not sure 5/8 speed with an XL engine is the best. I'd just drop it to 4/6 and take a regular engine, use the space for endo steal (does it have endo steal?!) or something like that!

Not the computer game, but I don't play any of the other varients of btech. Just the board game. So i don't care  I shall do as I please (Oh and please remember, my latest group, the 506CGPIR uses AC/2 field guns....)
I highly recommend it for games though, it makes AC/2 machines worth something finally, rather then the crap they were before. Oh and ellevate AC/5's to AC/7's. Also I think Vampire went on about how it equalized certan numbers or something or other.
Vampire can you do a repost on your reasoning for upping the damage? I can't remember!

It looks like a mech designed to fight over longer ranges. In hindsight, then, no wonder that guy couldn't put up too much of a fight; realistically, almost all of his weapons were well within their minimum ranges.

I'm pretty sure that vulture was just a standard one. The blue arm-pod lasers were large pulses, the center omni rack has MPLs, and the missile racks held LRMs.

well theres the beauty of this mech.
trade ultra ac/2's for lpl. there both 7tons, and add a dhs instead of ammo.
