I couldn't come up with a name for the 'mech, and therefore couldn't even come up with any fluff. The function of the 'mech is as an infantry transport/support vehicle. It's deployed alone with it's infantry, deploys them near the objective, then hides. If the infantry run into heavy opposition, the 'mech is called in as a "trump card".

NOTE: If this 'mech comes up against heavy 'mech resistance, it's not doing the job right.


GAME NOTE: To deploy its infantry, the 'mech must remain motionless for the entire turn. The deployment is declared at the beginning of the Movement phase, and is complete at the end of the Weapons phase (thus, the 'mech cannot move or attack for the entire turn). The deployed infantry can then move normally on the following turn.

To recover the infantry, the 'mech must repeat the process. This is why the infantry are deployed before the battle.


ANOTHER NOTE: Each infantry bay has enough space for 1/2 squad of infantry. Making the entire assemby of 4 bays capable of transporting 2 squads of infantry.

If I recall, 1 ton contains the space and facilities to transport one squad. You can carry an entire platoon there.

NIce infantry carrier. But, as I am an avid user of vehicles, there are a few cheaper ones out there to do the same job. APC's, Goblins, and Ferret's all carry a squad a piece. The Maxim Heavy Hover Transport carriers a whole platoon on it's own.
