When I was young I loved two potential career fields and wondered which one I would choose ..... Cartography and Architecture. In high school I took 3 years of Architecture and had fun with Cartography. I ended up doing neither! LOL
But I still loved Cartography and Battletech allowed me to indulge myself. I started on a series of stellar maps long ago and had completed them .... and then a slew of new Battletech publications (Handbooks, Historicals and Manuals) came along and made my maps obsolete. I have decided I wanted to get them completed by updating them. I had the good fortune to be asked by Rick Raisley, the MechMeister himself, to help research the planets of the Inner Sphere when he was working on HMStarmap so I had a great database to reference.
My first little dabble into this was making a new Deep Periphery map. As time goes by I will be adding new eras but I figured I would start with a current map and work myself backwards.
With this said ..... how does this look?

I am still working on it. I am putting all the little Periphery places that are commonly left off these type of maps. I prefer mine to be complete and not half done.
