I'm a couple days late with this announcement as I pushed the update out Sunday night, but I was mostly monitoring the logs to see if there was anything missed resulting in errors that needed to be cleaned up. After performing a few additional activities, I feel good enough about it all. Here goes...
IndustrialMechs
Users now have the ability to create IndustrialMechs! This was the next logical progression as they most closely resemble BattleMechs. While I thought this would mean a quicker implementation, I failed to realize the site-wide reworking that would be required as I effectively hardcoded BattleMechs all over the place. Never-the-less, IndustrialMechs are finally here! That includes the following key features:
- The ability to create your own custom designs from the new Unit Management -> IndustrialMechs menu option
- Searching for, viewing, and generating record sheets, Alpha Strike cards, etc. for all canon designs (currently being input into the site)
- Including IndustrialMechs in your custom forces via the Force Builder
- Many more minor things not worth calling out (administrative features, writing reviews, adding them to your nightly notifications, etc.)
Like always, anything that is seen that is a bug, or needs improving upon, please do let me know! I do try to prioritize requests from all of you over things I discover on my own.
