================================================================================================
Overview:
Designed based off of feedback from the short-lived Star League's Gunslinger program, this
variant of the venerable Quickdraw has proven popular amongst cavalry units and less so
among commanders on a budget, reserving the design for high profile commands.

Capabilities:
The QKD-ERD fulfills its cavalry role admirably thanks to its massive 360 XL engine,
allowing it to keep up with most medium mechs. 11 tons of ferro-fibrous provides nearly
maximum protection for such a power plant and its armament was selected, not just for it's
role but to allow it to act as a duelist. Effective at medium to long range are dual ER
Large Lasers backed by a pair of MRM 10s.

The blend of speed, protection, and firepower are not without it's faults. Besides the
literal cost, the design suffers from endurance issues due to its limited ammo and internal
    vulnerability.

The consistent damage also lacks the punch necessary to end fights quickly, giving its
detractors the idea that this is an expensive toy rather than a truly effective war machine.

Perhaps the biggest complaint against the design is its lack of versatility, specifically
the loss of the original's jump jets.

Deployment:
The Jihad turned the production of this Quickdraw variant into a limited run. Though it's
appreciated wherever it's seen, newer technologies and a shift in production priorities have
    killed this design's future.
