Overview:
The crow is an unsuccessful attempt to simplify the Raven, namely the 4L model, and cut the
production cost, that in the end barely left the drawing boards. Hellespont Industries were
looking into potential ways to keep their Betelgeuse line busy. As the line is currently
still capable of producing light 'Mechs at best the engineering team was given a shot at
updating the Raven and making it more cost effective in the process, but in the end the
proven chassis and the trouble with Jihad led to shelving of the project.

Capabilities:
The Crow in it's pre-production stage would have served as a testing platform for several
technologies, while leaving the other systems larlely untouched, if redistributed around the
chassis. Doing away with the Narc launcher allowed for reduction of the engine to a much
simpler and smaller standard model, which in the end proved to be the bane of this project
as a reliable domestic source of a 180 class engine couldn't be obtained. The Crow should
have also been equipped with and attempt to recreate the MML launcher, although at half the
size of the original six tube system on the original Raven. This early launcher had to be
manually set to fire the correct type of missiles by technicians which was deemed acceptable
because there is only one ammo bin included so the change can be done rather easily during
the ammunition replenishment. Otherwise the performance would be almost identical to it's
    heavier predecessor.
