Overview:
    The BLR-N4 is a design built using the newly acquired Variable Speed Pulse Laser technology
    which became distributed around the Inner Sphere by the Word of Blake during the Jihad.
    Built around urban combat exclusively, the -N4 thrives in close quarters situations like few
    other 'Mechs do, but it is helpless in open terrain due to the very limited range of its
    weaponry. To help alleviate this issue, a second variant (the BLR-N5) was designed which
    sacrificed some close range stopping-power to allow it to trade blows at distance.

Capabilities:
    The BLR-N4 is all about efficiency. To allow the 'Mech to carry as much weaponry as
    possible, the engine was dropped to a Strand 255 Light Fusion, giving the -N4 a maximum
    speed of 54kph. This meant that the design's engineers were able to fit 10 Small VSP Lasers
    onto the chassis (3 in each side torso and 2 in each arm). The incredible accuracy of these
    weapons at close ranges means that few of the lasers will miss their mark. To make these
    weapons even more accurate, they were linked into a Targeting Computer.
    
    The high heat output of this configuration required the addition of 5 double heat sinks to
    the design (for a total of 15). Because of the large volume of space taken up by the Double
    Heat Sinks, the engineers were unable to use an Endo Steel skeleton, having to instead work
    around a standard chassis. However, they discovered that due to the relatively small engine
    (in comparison to other Battlemaster models) they still had a lot of free weight left over.
    Since the -N4 is specialized for urban environments, it only made sense to equip it with
    jump jets. For reduced heat and a much greater jump capacity, they equipped the design with
    5 Improved Jump Jets (for a total distance of 150 metres). To protect the -N4 against enemy
    electronics, an Angel ECM was fitted, while a C3 Slave means it can provide targeting
    information for its lancemates. Finally, the design was given the maximum armour protection
    possible for an 85-ton 'Mech, while the cockpit was armoured to almost completely negate the
    risk of a stray shot killing the pilot - both help the design to function better in its
    prefered environment.
