Overview:
    The Catch 22 Mercenaries had heavily damaged 'Mechs after a raid against the Capellan
    Confederation. And they believed that garrison duty in the middle of Federated Suns would be
    uneventful and a nice opportunity to recover. What they didn't know was that the Planetary
    Governor had been abusing the local population and had hired them specifically to intimidate
    the locals. This didn't work out as the locals quickly heard that the Mechs were heavily
    damaged.
    On the second night, most of the MechWarriors went out into the city, while a couple of
    MechWarriors and all the technicians remained at the fortress to continue repairs. With a
    surprise attack the locals killed the mercenaries in the city, and then demanded that the
    mercenaries in the base surrender.

Capabilities:
    In panic the remaining mercenaries took their most intact components and jury-rigged them
    into a pair of custom Mechs. Based upon reinforced Marauder frames, they were armed with
    inferno and plasma-based weapons that they had gained from their previous mission. They were
    just completed as rioters started to break down the gates of the base. As the two Orodruin
    surprised the rioters and then incinerated them all. The counter-attack killed the leaders
    of the rebellion and forced the locals to leave them alone.

Deployment:
    Since that event Catch 22 has been fine-tuning their Orodruin design into a reliable and
    robust Battlemech. The Orodruin design has a public stigma, but they still sell one or two
    yearly.
