Overview:
    The Vagabond is a Mech build and designed from the remnants of a massive battle. The Mech
    was built in the Deep Periphery on an agricultural world called Baileyâ??s Bounty. The
    planet had been raided for years by Pirates. An advance scout unit of Clan Smoke Jaguar came
    upon the planet during one of these raids on April 1 3043. The resulting battle destroyed
    both units. The Clan lost a Binary of Mechs and the Pirates the equivalent of a battalion of
    Mechs and armoured vehicles.
    
    Jackson Moultrie and several of the Farmers build the first Vagabond in 3044 just a year
    after the battle. The Vagabond is a scrap manâ??s dream. The chassis is built from four
    separate mechs. The Clan XL Fusion engine is the only piece of clan tech they could use
    because it was the only engine that still worked. The rest of the Mech is standard inner
    sphere gear.
    
    In the last five years the Farmers have been raided two more times. They have added enough
    scarp to make three more Vagabonds. By 3053 the pirates stopped coming because they the
    Farmers had made the raids not worth the effort.
    
    The loss of the advanced scout caused the clan advance to jump past Baileyâ??s Bounty.
    They have had relative peace since. The Farmers have contacted other isolated worlds to
    begin a coalition for Self Defense in 3055. They have traded the Clan tech that they could
    not use to the Hanseatic League. The league has made contacts with the Lyrans and Kuritians
    to sell the clan tech as spare parts. The Hanseatics make a JumpShip run two to three times
    a year. Other than this the Farmers of Baileys Bounty remains isolated to their world.

Capabilities:
    The main weapon of the vagabond is the PPC and its speed. The farmers have no tradition of a
    stand up military so they use their hunting techniques transferred to a massive BattleMech.
    The Vagabond shoots it PPC from long range then uses it speed to get out of the targets
    return fire. The pilots use the PPC or the Medium Lasers and SRM. But rarely both. The
    cobbled together parts and engine cause the vagabond to explode instead of shutting down.
    The farmers have learned to use their weapons to survive

Deployment:
    The vagabond is used exclusively on Bailey's Bounty. The Hanseatic League sees a good design
    and has offered the Farmers a deal that if they can build more they will sell them.

Notable MechWarriors:
    Jackson Moultrie is a self taught MechWarrior that has made life better for his world. He
    does not want to expand the Mech production to a point that it will make the pirates risk
    raids or attract any Clanners. He saw that the Clanner may have lost their Binary to the
    pirates but they took the pirates with them. He does not wish to face the Clan.
