Overview:
    A new scout mech designed for the LAAF, the Thunderstroke is often christianed "What the
    Razorback wanted to be". This is true to a certain extent with the weapon's package being
    almost the same but the mech has several refinements that makes it more useful as its role
    as a scout.

Capabilities:
    The loss of many high tech spare parts in the Lyran inventory have forced many
    Thunderstrokes to downgrade. Now with their mech producing factories and support units being
    threatened, many factories pull out weapons, many long deem obsolete and re-equip the
    sophiscated scoutish Thunderstroke into a medium brawler mech.
    
    
    
    Armed with no less than 6 Defiance B3M medium lasers as its primary weapon's array. The
    "Poor Mans" TS-A7 Thunderstroke is no pushover. The XL engine still remains and gives the
    mech the speed it needs to rush out and engage in brawls. Its not uncommon to see the small
    40 tonner completely overwhelm lights and mediums with its uncanny speed and vicious laser
    array. Even heavies reel under the painful barrage. The Defiance 1001 ERPPC has being
    replaced with a older and shorter range Donal PPC which offer a decent sting out to decent
    range. A small ER small laser just provides sufficient protection against infantry.
    
    
    
    Although the overall weapons engagment range has being reduced, the Poor Man's Thunderstroke
    runs significantly cooler than the TS-A3 or A7, allowing the pilots to even keep cool under
    the heaviest firefights. The mech also mounts another additional double strength freezer
    which helps the pilots alot since they will be firing their lasers alot.
    
    
    
    The armor although downgraded to only standard model is still very heavy at 8.5 tons which
    give the Thunderstroke almost complete armor protection. The XL engine vulnerability is
    still there but the pilots often disregard the engines weakness for the mech's good speed
    and awesome short range firepower.

Deployment:
    Literally being refitted in the hundreds, Conventry has plenty of Thunderstrokes that need
    the high tech parts which they will never get. Time to go low tech and carry lots of
    efficient low tech guns, guns and more guns. :)
