Overview:
    Based on old blueprints found on the Grey Death Memory Core, the Hyperion is designed as a
    fast-response 'mech, intended to move from hotspot to hotspot, shoring up defenses for
    struggling units, or reinforcing assaults that get stalled by heavy resistance.

Capabilities:
    Equipped with a Core Tek Extra-Light engine capable of a top speed of over 86kph, the
    Hyperion has plenty of speed to fulfill its intended role.
    
    With its Corean Light Gauss Rifle and Artemis-equipped Federated 10-Shot LRM system, the
    Hyperion is a long-range fighter at heart. It's copious ammunition bins allow the Hyperion
    to remain on alert for extended periods of time without reloading, keeping downtime to a
    minimum.
    
    With the ever-changing battle environments the Hyperion often finds itself in, the need for
    reliable close-range weapons is readily apparent. To meet this need, the Hyperion is
    equipped with a pair of Photec 806c Medium Lasers, supplemented by a 20mm Gatling Gun for
    anti-infantry defense.

Deployment:
    Almost all of the Hyperions currently in service are deployed in the Davion sectors of the
    Federated Commonwealth, primarily along the Davion-Liao border. There are also unconfirmed
    reports of several Hyperions operating with pirate groups out of Pirate's Haven, although
    how the pirates could have aquired them remains a mystery.
