Overview:
    The plans found on a rival engineers desk after he commited seppuku when the rival engineers
    at Luthien Iron Works Battlemech factory won the refit competition. 5 years later it was
    brought into service as the 4K, and the production line was switched over to this newer and
    more combat capable design.
    
    
    
    As the new technology involved in its creation was revolutionary in its design and
    originally resulted in the mere refit of the production line and all line units into the far
    superior at the time 3K model. The 4K brings many top notch technologies and utilizes the
    training in heat curve running taught to the 3K pilots and requires them to further watch
    themselves.
    
    

Capabilities:
    This Shadow Hawk is both better and worse than the one it replaces. The paired ER mediums on
    each hand, backing up the ER PPC leave this design able to fight with a heat curve that can
    be fatal to samurai unaware of how dangerous an alpha strike might be. The twinned Streak
    SRM 2 is a weapon that tears into armour breaches. The LRM 5 is almost a forgotten
    attachement to this design just to remind the enemy that it can duke it out at range with
    both the ER PPC and the LRM 5.

Deployment:
    Mainly Ghost and Sword of Light units are taking this design as it pushes the 3K refit back
    to the Arkab legions and the garrison troops. Which is a happy situation for all, as the
    Ghost and Sword of Light have the Endo Steel and double heat sinks due to their top notch
    supply lines. Where as the remaining units in the Combine make dedicated use of the Single
    Heat sinks and standard equipment.
    
    
    
    The DCMS plays up on this by issuing the "retired" Sword of Light mechs, and making it a big
    public relations thing as their given to the garrison unit that was on whatever planet the
    Sword of Light was when it gained its new mech shipment. An attempt to further tie martial
    spirit and fighting pride into its Garrision troops, which may or may not work in the long
    term.
