Overview:
    The Grimm Marauder is the heaviest of the lance of custom 'mech designs fielded by the Grimm
    family of Regulus.  The 'mech is a heavily modified MAD-3R captured from Steiner's Lyran
    Guards during the battle of Loric.  The heavily damaged 'mech was awarded to Arthur Grimm in
    3006, with the expectation that it would be used for scrap.  The Grimms were a very wealthy
    family, and never needed to spare parts on the Marauder hulk.  In 3020 Arthur Grimm's
    daughter, Lauren Grimm, began restoring the 'mech with a smaller engine.  She claims to have
    gotten the idea from studying tape of the Wolf's Dragoons' Marauder II class in action.

Capabilities:
    Although the Grimm Marauder is officially designated as a heavy 'mech, Laura calls her
    design a "pocket-assault" 'mech.  Additional heavy armor plates have been welded over
    vulnerable parts of the 'mech's structure.  The 70 mm autocannon was replaced with a 105mm
    Federated Cannon, purchased at a primium from the Federated Suns.  The Grimm Marauder is
    slightly more heat efficient than the MAD-3R, although it is still forced to rely on salvo
    firing tactics.

Deployment:
    Laura Grimm's 'mech presently serves in one of the assault lances of the 1st Regulan
    Hussars.  In combat, she serves as fire-support for the Battlemasters and Stalker comprising
    the rest of her lance.  She is somewhat reluctant to enter close combat, due to the chronic
    shortage of PPCs in Marik space.
