Overview:
    While a heavy hitter the COM-2D has been hindered by it's lack of jump mobility. Attempt
    have been made over the years to correct this and there have been good results and bad
    results. The COM-2F has been a good balance in firepower and mobility.

Capabilities:
    Dropping the SRM-6 has given the unit enough room for the jump jets and another medium
    laser. Placing the jumpjets in the center torso where the SRM-6 used to be was a challenge
    and there were problems with the routing to the side torsos. So the rest of the jump system
    was shunted through the legs. The additional medium laser was placed into the cavity where
    the SRM-6 ammo bin was. While the dropping of the SRM-6 greatly reduces the hitting power of
    the Commando, the addition of the laser and jumpjets offsets this equally. The mech is no
    longer as dependant on ammo and can remain in the field for longer periods of time. The
    jumpjets give it the mobility to match other light class mechs.

Deployment:
    More than a few Commandos of this variety have been spotted over the years in each House
    military and a few merc units as well.
