Overview:
    The original Harpagos had a simple design philosophy: bring hard hitting firepower to the
    field in a decently armored package. Simple, effective, specialized and therefore good for
    little else. The Harpagos 2 is designed to be more multipurpose, with the twin Gauss rifles
    replaced with twin pairs of type-5 dual purpose autocannons and extended range large lasers.
    The auto cannons provide very good anti-air and anti-tank capabilities with their cluster
    rounds, while the lasers provide long range hard hitting firepower. To give the machine some
    anti-infantry ability, a flamer was also included in the armament package. The primary issue
    with this payload is that continual usage of the lasers will quickly lead to shutdown and
    possible ammo explosions. To help mitigate this somewhat, the lasers were each fitted with
    improved cooling jackets and the ?Mech?s combat computer helps adjust for the large amounts
    of heat the lasers generate. Unfortunately, this new model has been found to be hard to
    maintain by the techs forced to work on it. Additionally, the designers failed to provide a
    cooling jacket on the flamer, making it very uncomfortable for the pilots of the ?Mech to
    use this weapon.
