Overview:
    A design that hoped (and ultimately failed) to supplant the Battlemaster in the Late
    Succession Wars, the boldly-named Warmaster nonetheless found its niche as a relatively
    mobile brawling 'Mech, becoming particularly popular in the Free Worlds League by virtue of
    carrying Large Lasers rather than a PPC, which were notoriously rare in League space at the
    time.

Capabilities:
    Clad in fifteen and a half tons of armor, the Warmaster benefited from superior external
    protection compared to its venerable competitor.  A 340-rated Fusion Engine gave it an
    identical movement profile--faster than most assault 'Mechs, and able to close to short
    range with similar speeds to heavy 'Mechs.  Weaponry came in the form of a Large Laser
    mounted in each arm, as well as four forward-firing Medium lasers split between the left,
    right, and center torsos.  23 heat sinks kept the 'Mech mostly cool, although volley fire of
    the Large Lasers was advised for prolonged engagements.  The 'Mech mounted sturdy hand
    actuators as well, allowing it to supplement the laser arsenal with brutal punches.  By
    virtue of lacking ammunition-based weaponry, the Warmaster was slightly more durable than
    the BattleMaster even when its armor was breached.

Variants:
    WAR-4M:  A 3050's variation using rediscovered Star League tech, the -4M Warmaster upgrades
    the chassis to Endo Steel, removes two heat sinks (but upgrades the remainder to
    double-strength models), and upgrades the arm-mounted Large Lasers to extended-range
    versions.  One of the central Medium Lasers is moved to the head, and the remaining center
    torso laser is upgraded to a Large Pulse laser. The left and right torsos' medium lasers
    remain.
