Overview:
    Being one of the oldest 'Mech designs in existence, the Banshee has undergone many changes
    over the centuries, with numerous variants in normal production, as well as dozens of unique
    models from various 'Mech families. The BNC-3SMB is one such machine.

Capabilities:
    Starting with a 3S chassis as it basis, this 'Mech has had its internal structure removed
    and replaced with a far lighter, if more bulky, endo-steel skeleton. This, combined with the
    replacement of its heat sink system with a smaller number of double heat sinks that provide
    virtually the same amount of heat dissipation. This freed up some 15 tons of room for
    additional armor and weapons.
    
    This extra room came in handy when the new armament scheme was implemented. Many of the old
    3S model's weapons were removed, leaving only 4 medium lasers, which were mounted in
    different locations across the 'Mech, including both side torsos, the head and the RA. An ER
    PPC was placed in the left arm, along with a dual-purpose LB-10X autocannon in the right
    torso and a powerful gauss rifle in the left torso. The autocannon is fed by a two ton
    CASE-protected ammo bay in the left torso, and the gauss is fed by a three ton ammo bay that
    is spread between the right torso and the center torso. An additional ton and a half of
    armor has been added, upgrading the armor in the legs and arms. Protection has also been
    enhanced by the installation of a Guardian ECM Suite.
    
    Although the Steiner-model Banshee was not known for its speed, this model has not improved
    on this on the ground. What it has done is add a trio of jump jets spread across its back,
    allowing the 'Mech to clear many obstacles, including any trenches or ravines that are 90
    meters across or less. While not the fastest assault out there, it can surprise many with
    its mobility.
