Much better than the laser boat version. The Streak missiles hit harder and are going to earn you more head shots and critical hits, which has always been the point of the Commando in any case.
In terms of speed, the upgrade is nice, but everything is faster in the 3050s, so its just keeping pace with a rising tide. Still no jumpjets : (
As for Mo's comment about CASE, this 'mech is a clan design, so case comes for free, although I don't see it on the critical chart here, which is odd. |

The speed of this mech is fair and it has good armour protection and the weapon load has decent throw weight. The heat control is excellent But the uncased ammo is a potential danger that cannot be ignored. |

I don't know if anyone else than the Dragoons would use this (clans have the IICs and IS lacks the means to build it), but this is quite dangerous. Light armor is the price for additional firepower and maybe the weapons placement may be a little different. |
