Overview:
There are more configurations of Shadowdancer, that are not as much used on the field as
PRIME and A configurations, but they had been encountered on at least one occasion. It isn't
confirmed, but these configurations can be official, even if not liked by warriors.
( Right arm should have one double heat-sink under the laser, because only ten heat-sinks
are fixed on original chassis. )
Capabilities:
C configuration is designed for dense terrain and urban warfare. Jump is just long enough to
hide behind near bock of houses, or to cross narrow crags and rivers, but not more. Active
probe and light TAG were added to supplement already impressive short range weapons payload.
Four medium lasers, two ER and two heavy, were again fitted with targeting computer and
single streak SRM-6 pack rounds out Shadowdancer C's main weapons. Multipurpose flamer was
added later. This configuration is quite uncommon because of it's focused nature.
Deployment:
There are no confirmed reports, mentioning fielding this variant except one. One
Wolf-in-Exile warrior spotted this mech during minor Falcon raid. This raid was probably
field test for new configuration, but Wolf reinforcements had accidentally arrived
simultaneously with the raiders. Falcons fled from heavier Wolf mechs before any actual
combat, because they were clearly outmatched, but one of the pursuers, Ice Ferret Prime,
followed fleeing units and engaged the the Shadowdancer. MechWarrior survived, but it took
nearly six months to repair his mech.
