Alternative bola Narc/iNarc pods, when shot at a 'Mech or unit equipped with VTOL rotors, entangles that 'Mech's arms/legs/VTOL rotors respectively.
When shooting at a 'Mech, roll on the 'Mech hit location table - if a leg is hit, then that pod is considered to have hit both legs; if it has hit an arm location, then both arms are considered hit; otherwise that attack has no effect. If that 'Mech moves its legs to make one or two kick attacks or moves its legs for movement (while standing) before making a successful piloting skill roll to step out of the entangling pod (if its legs were hit), then it falls. If that 'Mech's arms were hit, then it may not make arm physical attacks until after the player controlling it makes a successful piloting skill roll.
When shooting at a unit with VTOL rotors, if the rotors are hit, then they are destroyed; otherwise that attack has no effect.
When used against infantry, such an attack is directed at a single infantry trooper - if that trooper is hit, then he/she can't move and has a +4 to-hit modifier applied to all of his/her attacks until he/she has spent one turn removing that pod.
