(note: I still haven't gotten HM Pro functional yet, so I'm just roughing it here. sorry)

Base chassis: KIM-2 Komodo

11 DHS (1 LT, 1 RT)
22 armor points right leg
22 armor points left leg
15 / 7 armor points right torso
15 / 7 armor points left torso
20 / 7 armor points center torso

ECM RT
LRM 5 RT (1 ton ammo 1/ CASE)
LRM 5 CT
LRM 5 LT (1 ton ammo 1/ CASE)
BAP LT
2 medium lasers RA
2 medium lasers LA
small laser H

While the Komodo was originally lauded as a potential solution for suppressing Clan Elementals, the mech possessed two serious flaws. The first was that it had to get within 270 meters in order to engage the enemy, putting it close enough to where the Elementals could potentially retaliate. The second was that all of the weapons were in the limbs, meaning that the mech could be taken out of the fight quickly and easily just by targeting the arms.

The Monitor Lizard seeks to correct this through a handful of means. To deal with the issue of range, the decision was made to go with LRMs; with two tons of ammo, the mech could use a mix of thunder munitions and normal munitions for suppression; by putting these in the torsos and a small laser in the head, the mech can still continue the fight in the event that the arms are destroyed. In addition, an active probe was added to help the mech seek the Elementals before they could even get close.

However, some nods to the original design were retained. Two medium lasers were left in each arm to help deal with any Elementals that might still get close. And the ECM suite was retained to help keep the mech from being detected.
