It was lance on lance we were dancing at maximum range and he's like I'm going to run towards you on pavement with my locust, turn then slam into you. fails the piloting check takes out some low buildings, locust loses something critical and shuts down.
In a Star versus Demi Company. With my demi company defending. He hot drops his whole force on top of me. My Swayback ends up being 1 hex from his Timberwolf. Swayback opens fire moves his cockpit. oddly enough this match ends with a Nova taking out my last mech with a machine gun while my last weapon takes out his Nova.
That same match also saw 5 protomechs take out a Grasshopper for no damage.
5 on 5 tonnage restricted match saw both of us field the same 5 clan mechs just different models. Was won by me on a double tap by my thor's ac 20. I should have by rights lost this one.
In a regiment on a pair of reinforced batalions battle, I watched the spearhead lance of my opponent be his Regimental commander whom I took out with my recon company. We ended that scenario at that point due to him technically being captive. We refought the battle again and it lasted a few week ends.
Playing Warlords Battlecry 3 and playing the "if you die your dead rule set" and drawing any opponent with assassin.

God that reminds me of some of my more memerable moments.
Company V Company My battlemaster walks forward and hides in the trees. The squad of infantry is hidden right behind me. One golden BB later I have 2 engine hits and a gyro hit.
Convention battle. My Wardog takes 20 points of damage. Falls. Takes leg damage. Next round tries to stand up. Falls take torso damage. Next round falls. Takes more torso damage with a crit. Well you see where this is going.

I once beat Ronin in a Solaris duel with a single shot.
Guass rifle to the head. 8)
Made for an interesting after-action debrief, as he was playing a hotshot Solaris pilot at the time and I was just playing a random combatant.

Reminds me of when I first started playing BattleTech. Our gaming group played a Merc Unit (I know, very common thing) taking on the Clan's during the latter part of 3050. I was driving a Pillager PLG-3Z and a Stalker STK-3F. Our Company's commander was driving a captured Timberwolf D and a Zeus ZEU-6T. We comprised our company's assault lance. Opening round of combat (not game, just combat) saw a Dire Wolf Prime step out from behind a cliff along with a whole Star of Heavy & Medium mechs that were in closer. The Dire Wolf was at the very edge of long range for the Timberwolf's ERPPCs... well, our commander lifted his left arm (the Dire Wolf was off to our left since we were facing the star of heavys/mediums that had come down our right flank) and fired one PPC in that direction. Head Cap. Opening shot.
Thats the up side.
3 rounds later my Stalker and his Zeus both went up to ammo explosions. OOPS!
Still, we didn't take any other death losses and took down the binary despite being out BV'ed by 1400 points and also out weighted, Proves smart tactics and a little deception can make a victory from nearly certain defeat.
We of course captured the Dire Wolf, as well as a Summoner and a Hellbringer. I got the Summoner to replace my Stalker. Not exactly an even trade, but since it didn't cost us much to repair it (needed an engine, which we salvaged from another Summoner that got its Gyro, arms, and one leg destroyed) and money was tight, we made it work.
We ended up with 5 lances of mechs, each player running an entire lance. My lance at the end consisted of
Assault Lance
Warhawk C - Lt. Ralgith t'Mayasara 2/2 (Lance Commander)
Summoner M - MW Abigail Weston 3/4
Pillager PLG-3Z - Sergeant Chris Michaels 2/4 (Upgraded with Clan Gauss Rifles & ERLL)
Thunder Hawk TDK-7Y - Horatio Engels 4/4 (Upgraded with Clan Gauss Rifles & IS DHS)
I know, thats a very "badassed" lance. Took 6 years of "BT" time to get it that far advanced too. I was loving it when my Pillager decapitated the Warhawk. I know many here don't like the Warhawk because it is a "cheese" mech, but when you're facing the Clans as your primary opponent... its helpful to have such a deadly mech on your side.
The other 4 lances were thus (I don't remember the pilots skills for anyone but our CO); also, our skills didn't start as good as they are here at the end. We raised them with an experience system. A lot of clan weaponry replacements for their IS equivalents too.

One of my worst moments was Emmy's best. Set up a scenario of her commanding a Merc Mech Lance. Her objective was a objective raid to destroy the mobile HQ or supply truck (forget which) of an enemy force. 2 map setup, she sets up and then moves. Only 1 Mech has LOS to the target... her Wolfhound at 15 hexes. She rolls, result 12, side hit, target destroyed. So much for my mission setup... she walks off the map and collects her mission payment without a single scratch or a single munition used. It was funny as hell but so frustrating.

Geeze Vagabond... thats as bad as my first attempt at Field testing my version of the GaussZilla (Clan mech, 2 Gauss & 3 ERPPC) against 5 Dire Wolf (2x Prime and 1x each A, B, & C) and I got headcapped in the opening round.
In the end I discovered I could take on any 3 Dire Wolves with just 1, barring Golden BB or Decapitation.
I really should post that one in the custom TRO 
But I didn't remember that one till just now while reading your account or I would have mentioned it earlier.
