==Overview:==
The premier light 'Mech of the Lyran Commonwealth, you can bet that it burned
Steiner butt to see a Royal version being piloted by SLDF troopers (just a
little payback for stealing our Mackie design from us way back when,
Elsies.).

This is a VERY tight upgrade that uses every last single crit slot.  EVERY
ONE!  Endo-steel and 4.5 tons of Ferro-Fibrous (for 91% of max armor) are used
to wring out the most tonnage possible without using an XL engine.  Ten double
heat sinks (four in the engine) ensures that heat is not a worry.

We kept the left arm medium laser, but yanked the missile battery (why, oh why
do designers like using different size missile batteries on a single 'Mech?
But I digress.).  Replacing the SRM-4 and SRM-6 are FOUR Streak SRM-2
racks--two each in the center torso and right arm.  A single ton of ammo,
protected by CASE, in the right torso feeds all four launchers.

It's a little tougher, a little more survivable, and average damage has
acutally increased, along with endurance (you don't fire if you don't lock).
Still not my preferred ride, but a darn sight better than the Lyran original.

==Overview:==
The Jackrabbit was a relatively new SLDF 'Mech, but was overtaken by the
Amaris Crisis.  After Kerensky refused to take it on the Exodus, ComStar
inherited the factory--later reworking it into the Nexus.

Now, with 3075, we finally saw the Jackrabbit--a 25-ton light 'Mech moving
6/9/0 with its only weapons an AC-2 and an SRM-2.  WTF?!?

That is nothing like the Nexus.  And it sucks!  So, MY Royal Jack (sounds like
a brand of whiskey, don't it) ain't NOTHING like the 'official' Jackrabbit.

We stripped this here hare all the way down to the bone.  Beginning with the
internal structure, we used Endo-Steel and 4.5 tons of Ferro-Fibrous (91% of
max armor).  We gave it a standard 175 rated engine, for a movement of 7/11.
Plus, why not?  Seven jump jets, for a whooping 210 meter jump capability!

Ten double heat sinks ensures that we can jump and fire without difficulty.
That left 3.5 tons of weight and four crit slots.  Three medium lasers (RA,
LA, and CT) and a small laser (H) and the Royal Jack is done.

That's a better 'Mech, or else I don't know Jack.

==Overview:==
Agile.  Sinous.  Deadly.  These describe the Mongoose II to a 'T'.  Right Mr.
T?

What you talkin' about, fool!

Right you are, Mr. T; now moving along, nothing to see here.  My Royal
Mongoose II takes these traits and puts them on steroids.

As a side-note, yes, I know there is an 'official' Mongoose II in 3075.  Yes,
my version is nothing like it.  I don't like 'upgrades' that change the weight
of a 'Mech.  No sir, I don't.  Just make a new damn 'Mech, ok?  That's what
you are really doing.

Back to the Royal Mongoose II.  It already has endo-steel, but we use 5 full
tons of Ferro-Fibrous, giving our little weasel 100% of armor protection.  We
also give it ten double heat sinks--eight of which can fit in the engine.

That leaves us with five tons to play with.  We know the Mongoose was built to
serve as a scout lance leader--and that the Mercury it was to serve with
mounts Beagles and Guardians.  Ok, so we don't NEED an Active Probe.

Instead, let's mount TAG in the head--always a good thing for a lance
commander to have available.  The other four tons, we use for four medium
lasers--two per arm.

We got the heat sinks to alpha and run, even with an engine hit.  Plus we can
call in the Hammer of God from Arrow IV carriers in the rear.  And run at damn
near 130 kph.  What more could you want from a pack of Mongooses?  Mongeese?
Whatever.
