I have to correct you all on the most disgusting way to die. Walking a mint mech into any terrain that requires a pilotting skill roll, blowing the roll, landing on a torso with ammo in it, rolling the deuce, rolling a twelve for the crit, having plenty of stuff in the torso and still managing to hit the ammo bin. THAT is a disgusting way to die.

I was pretty disgusted at a certain Thunderbolt that had survived a heavy firefight without taking critical damage.
In the last round, as I won by killing the last enemy mech, the TDR had to roll for piloting. It fell. It`s head made contact with the ground. It had to roll for a critical hit. 12. Damn! That pilot had collected a few kills already.

...failing a pilot check and skidding into a pond and flooding your CT in turn 1 ranks up there too

Even worse... Not having to run in the first place, deciding on Ferro that he can make a three... Oops, fall down skid into a pond, and breach the CT of a minty new Blackhawk..
Not that I've ever seen ChiHawk do that..........
