==Overview:==
Although mechs had been specially designed for urban combat for quite some
time, there was a distinct shortage of urban combat vehicles; it was generally
assumed that most vehicles could function just fine in such an environment.
The few specialty-built vehicles were often too heavy and expensive for
routine use.

Owing to the invention of the rotary autocannons, analysts began to rethink
urban combat. The result of this new thinking is the Street Sweeper, a light
urban assault vehicle based around a RAC/2.

Granted, the unit isn't entirely a RAC/2 on wheels. There is a machine gun in
front, a considerable amount of armor for its size, good speed, and room for
two tactical operations soldiers in the rear. But it's pretty obvious what
this is supposed to be anyway.

==Variants:==
A handful of individual commanders have expressed interest in a "Sky Sweeper,"
a version of the Street Sweeper in which the machine gun is replaced with a C3
slave device; the intent is to slave the units into a Partisan tank as part of
an anti-aircraft battery. The idea is that the tank's two-man infantry
complement can function as a defensive mechanism in lieu of the machine gun.

However, thus far no prototypes have been made.
