When the lightning flashes, this is NOT what you want to see.
THIS IS A PICTURE THAT SOMEONE TOOK WHO WORKS ON AN OIL RIG.
HE WAS GOING TO TAKE A PICTURE OF THE LIGHTNING AND WAS
UNAWARE OF THE TORNADO UNTIL THE LIGHTNING ILLUMINATED IT.
This is a one-in-a-million photo..............

I think that this doesn't need any other comments...
But those people standing on the rig seem to be calm enough... or perhaps they don't dare to move so fast because of all the ...

Of course its possible.
As for SD's mentioning that they look calm... well, they may not have noticed it yet considering I didn't see any of them actually LOOKING that way. I mean if the photographer didn't know it was there until he snapped the photo, do you think the guys on the rig did? I doubt it, and I know *I* would be running my ass off if I saw something like that.

You'd have winds associated with that Tornado. They may not be as severe from a distance, but those flags are barely moving. And tornados are not exactly quiet. I seriously doubt this photo is real.

Well, and of course its not. Funny enough I was browsing through the online photo archive of Tom Phillips... and look what I found by pure chance...
I still would have shat myself taking this pic... tornadoes are no joke.
