I've begun work on a new software project... BattleTech Mercenary Utilities, or BMU. Thus far my plans for BMU are to create computerized versions of the creation processes from FM: Mercs and Mercs: Supplemental. I've already almost finished the alternate creation from MSupp. Everything is coming together quite nicely. I plan on also including a 2-way contract generator (one that just generates a contract based on Dragoon's Rating) and an "AI" manual contract generator which will not appear for a few versions (due to the time required to write proper AI procedures for different types of employer negotiators). Also I will incorporate the different Mercenary forms from MSupp as computerized versions, making it easier to track your unit as well. Lastly I will be including a few home grown utilities. What I wish to know is if anyone has an ideas / feature requests. Also I need to know if there were any changes between the original FM: Mercs (I have) & Revised (do not have) in the unit creation process (other than typo corrections). If you have either ideas or the info on the FM, please email me at ralgith@yahoo.com with a subject of BMU - Ideas or BMU - FM as appropriate.

Unfortunately my work on this has had a major set back... all my files were lost during a reformatting. Mostly because both backup CD's burned incorrectly. Well, GREAT NEWS!!!
Despite the backups being worthless, I found an older backup version with a few of my newest changes missing. So, I intend to release a demo version in the near future... hopefully by the end of the month.
