Both versions have the Bloodhound Probe to allow them to better hunt down their prey.

The "beta" model's downgrade to a normal PPC was due to heat concerns. Going from the Master to the Slave electronics freed up a lot of tonnage and crit space that would be valuable for use in regards to back-up weaponry, but not so much crit space that I could go and add another double heat sink to help deal with the heat.
