Two versions of the same idea. Basically these are sniper platforms. Not the tactical sniper; stand at long range and shoot at you on the battlefield, but the strategic sniper; deployed alone into enemy lines, observing and reporting, but taking out strategic targets of opportunity with a single shot from the long-range gauss rifle.

The primary job of the Dragunov is to disappear and to complicate enemy operations. The enemy will be hobbled if, after the commader's Cyclops loses it's head while powered down near the field HQ, they have to move troops and resources to track down the infiltrators and guard their remaining strategic sites. Right?

I like the idea of a gauss sniper operating behind enemy lines very much!
It has a lot of super high tech though and a commanding officer will have pain in his stomach to send this 25 mio baby behind the lines! But on the other side machines designed for special operation tend to be the most expensive of all!
I especially like that rear-firing grenade launcher! I would drop the small laser for another one!
I'll try my own version of this by trying to use only level 2 tech (though there will not be grenade launchers on it!).

No way in heck I'd ever pilot one, but here is one that is Tech Manual standard, and surprisingly cheap. It does what it needs to: finds things, breaks them, and remains hidden all the while. A simple variant would swap out the MASC and most of the minimal armor for a targeting computer.

A word of caution: this 'Mech cannot fight. It was never intended to operate against ANY opposition. If you send this 'Mech directly against opposition, you will not like the results. Also, the pilot is not going to enjoy this. Mind you, many modern snipers deal with worse, so...

EDIT: Had enough space for light ferro. So I added it.

TechManual compliant. Used Stealth armor to make up for the loss of the Angel ECM, Used a small cockpit for weight savings, and used a SPL instead of ERSL for anti-infantry support. The SPL can be dropped to upgrade the Cockpit to standard or for more ammo to Guass. Added Omni for ease of re-equiping in the field if the guass or something should become disabled. None Omni costs: 7,879,014.
