I just bought the original BT Record Sheets Volume Five: Vehicles on eBay, in the hope of it containing the original 3025 Tokugawa tank (we had a discussion on this previously). It didn't.

However, it is a nice volume, with a better lay-out than the modern ones. I have a couple of remarks and question:

1. It has edited a few of the designs. Where there was .4 of a ton or something, cargo space was added. Sometimes cargo space of less than a ton was eliminated by a SL. Nothing of importance. However, a very interesting note: The Drillson hovertank is there in its original configuration: Moving 6/9 (the design was created before the stupid 20% engine for hovercraft was made). Funny then, that the Condor was already 'upgraded' (...cough!....hack!..) to moving 8/12 with 2 ML (rather than 7/11 with 3 ML). Any explanation?

2. The Devastator from Battletechnology #2 is included. As the only BTnology design. If I may give my own explanation: This is probably because of the fact that this design was published again (by the same author) in Sorenson's Sabres, as the Demolisher Mk III.

3. And this is where I really need your help! There are quite a few vehicles that I've never heard of! Where are they from? A really early scenario book? Mechwarrior 1st edition?

They are:

TRACKED: Jet Sled - 3 tons - 8/12 - 1.05 tons cargo space

WHEELED: Ground Car - 3 tons - 10/15 - .8 tons cargo space; Jeep - 5 tons - 7/11 - 1.75 tons cargo space; Speeder - 5 tons - 18/27 - .25 tons cargo space; Command Van - 15 tons - 6/9 - LRM 5 (24), MG (200); Wheeled Scout - 20 tons - 7/11 - ML, .9 tons sensors/cargo; Heavy Transport B1 - 20 tons - 5/8 - SRM 2 (50), 7 tons cargo;

HOVER: Skimmer - 5 tons - 18/27 - SL, Flamer (rear); Air Car - 40 tons - 11/17 - *nothing*; Falcon - 50 tons - 9/14 - ML, 2 SRM 6 (30); Hover Scout - 10 tons - 12/18 - ML, 1.65 tons sensor/communication; Weapons Carrier A - 25 tons - 6/9 - LL, .75 tons cargo; Hover Tank - 50 tons - 6/9 - PPC, SRM 6 (30), 4.3 tons cargo

Any help would be most greatly appreciated. After all, these were at one stage (at least in 1992 and the following years) 100% official vehicles.

Thanks in advance, jymset

Most of these are vehicles that came in 'Mechwarrior 1st Edition. I'm unsure about the weapons carrier and the PPC tank. I'll check it later
