How do I translate the gunnery and piloting skill bonuses into the actual base modifier? I can't find the chart anywhere.

infortunatly there IS no chart, the way I handle it is to take the average of the 3 gunneries and see where they fit in (1-10) and compare that to the BT (6-1)
Heres my rough chart:
MW: 0-1 BT: 6
MW: 2-3 BT: 5
MW: 4-5 BT: 4
MW: 6-7 BT:3
MW: 8-9 BT:2
MW: 10 BT:1

do you mean converting it from MW to BT stats?
If so that is on page 126 of the MW book. The chart is called 'Battletech skills conversion table.'

Did they release a second version or something? I just checked my copy and theres no chart in it.

I dont know. I believe mines is a first edition printing. So it should be there.
(it is in the third edition rules book)
