It's already been done. I don't use "private messaging" anymore. I now use Site Messaging. So there's an icon for it on the meny bar and you'll be notified (if desired) no matter where you come in to the site.

Like the back ground stuff...the mech that is under the stuff is cool. But the sight seems "icey" with all the white and blue. It is a good start to bigger and better things though.
