What about a button that can change from threaded to flat and vice versa without logging in and out or changing something in a profile???

That's what I'm thinking. It would stay in that mode until your next session or you hit the button to go back the other way.

I'd like that, Flat mode does have its uses.

I thought I posted this the other day, but I must've cancelled it by accident. In any event, I posted new files yesterday to the sandbox. A couple bugs were fixed. In addition, the Calendar and Links sections are now operational.

It is well thought out and I kind of like the metalic feel of it... however, I need to let it stew for a bit and see what I really think! It is hard to imagine it with more features, though I think I know what you're aiming for.

I'll wait to comment for a bit! Smile Overall: I like the look. I especially like the background....

so.... Initial votes tabulated:

7.5 feathers out of ten!

Very good start! Lots of promise, fear of promise wiping out cool idea high Smile Just cause it is so early.

The latest FF has the same problem, but it seems to be less pronounced.

http://sandbox.mordel.net

It's been sort of a slow week for me, but I did manage to get (to me anyways) one of the most important pieces of the site functional. I just uploaded new changes, which include:

  1. Site Messaging - There is an email icon in the top left menu bar. This will change depending on if you have unread mail. Site Messaging allows the same functionality as we have here, only implemented much better. I also incorporate a Save Draft button for those LOOOOONG emails you're afraid of losing. I'd really like folks to fool around with this and make sure it works ok. Send messages to me, I'll respond. HTML and BBCode is implemented

  2. Got the Spell Checking code in place and have incorporate a "Check Spelling" icon just to the right of all form textarea elements. Those are the big boxes where you can enter a lot of test. No more accepting poorly written reviews.

Speaking of reviews, has anyone gone in and tried to submit a review for a link? I ask because I implemented a cool new slider for the ratings scale which I think is pretty damn cool.

Anyways, check out the changes along with anything else you may want to look at and let me know if anything is broken or what you think so far.

Hey man... that's 3.0!!!

Remember the one with the "Another one bites the dust" midi.

Oh God, that makes me feel old. I must have been 15 then.

Looks good, you might want to watch readability of your print on some of the backgrounds tho'

Some of the type kind of faded into the background.

I did notice one thing that irked me: the fade-in boxes that come up when you hover the pointer over the two top right icons. For some reason the box fades in partially outside the screen and a scrolling bar appears at the bottom of my screen.

My system runs on WinXP Pro, fully updated. The browser is Mozilla 1.7.13. I'd have to install IE if I wanted to test the feature with it.

I Liked it as a whole. But it is a little counter intuitive. It's bit hard to navigate. Works well with Safari...

Obviously it' not all there yet, but could you explain how it is counterintuitive? How is it hard to navigate? Examples please.

Question: when will Mordel.net 2.0 go live? sorry if this has been answered somewhere.

And can I make a request? Is there anyway someone somewhere can encourage more stuff on infantry? Very Happy

I think it would be neat if there was a page dedicated to infantry on your site! SQUISHIES OF THE WORLD UNITE!

Thanks!

I talked to Mordel about this just last night...because of real life stuff he said we're a few months away from it being ready to go.
