If anyone knows anyone looking for temporary housing or shelter there is a site at katrinahousing.net which is something of a clearinghouse for information. There is also a good site at www.livejournal.com/community/academics_anon/853282.html
for students displaced by Katrina. A lot of colleges are offering to take them in for at least one term.
There is also a good clearinghouse of information at 192.122.183.218/wiki/index.php/Main_Page It's a wikipedia page.
Please feel free to post this information on any other webboards you regularly visit. The more this information gets out the more likely it is to reach people who need it.
