Hey, a lance of Firestarters and some Salamander battlearmor, and this insurgency crap in Iraq would dry up pretty #()@&king quick. And as long as were going for intimidation. An Atlas, a Banshee, a Blood Asp, what else....not a Baboon or Fire Mandril. We want to intimidade them, not make them wet their pants laughing.

Don't forget the irony factor that would be involved in using some Crusaders and Paladins.
If nothing else, I think that your average person would run at the concept of staring down 7 20mm rapid-fire machine guns (that's what the Paladin's entire right arm is).

| Using Crusaders and Paladins wouldn't be irony, it would be adding insult to injury to an extent that the situation would turn against us even more. The Crusades is a very touchy subject for people in this region, and any reference to such in relation to our activities there would be counter-productive to say the least.

Yeah, do the Kentares massacre in real life and end up with as much good will as Kurita got out of that... BattleMechs and civilians don't mix well, that's why commanders in the Successor states try to avoid it.
