I have a nice 22oz Craftsman framing hammer that works well as a re-adjuster/persuader. Now if you do not want to mar the surface then the 2lb dead blow works best. (especially in the middle of the forhead. )

I prefer a nice hardwood Bokken too the temple always gets the job done for me.
