The second development model. the ishtar has proven capable for it size. Mounting as much weraponry as both the stinger and wasp class mechs. This was decided to test it abilities.
the primary weapon is the Gun Pod mounted Medium Laser. giving the best punch to weight ratio out of other choices. with decent range the only draw back is the units limited feild time and active speed.
with a top speed of a little over 85kph the Ishtar can compete with most ground vehicles, but is slow compared to light weight battlemechs.
to counter this weekness the Ishtar is deployed with a ECM pod. allowing it to jam, electronicly supperior enemy.
combined to this is a weapons package able to handle infantry, and mechanized ground units.

?! It's designed along battle armor rules but it comes in at 15 tons- which before the BMR: Revised was still a legal tonnage for mechs. Which is it?
