Raven walked down the street whistling away a happy show tune he heard a few nights ago while drinking some whiskey and beer. His silver sunglasses reflected the light allowing his eyes to take in most of the sights without being hurt in the bright light.
His happy mood is increased as he spots a muffin shop across the street. Hopping across the street Raven opened the door and stood there. The light streamed in over his shoulder, glinting off the mother of pearl handle of his replica pulse laser tommy gun. Stepping in he let the door close behind him and walked cooly and calmly up to the counter.
He stared for long minutes at the serving girl who stared right back. Raven thought to himself, Yes, this is a cool one. Flexing his hands he placed them lighting on the counter. "One Blueberry muffin. Toasted, not grilled."
The girl flipped her hair over her shoulder, "Fresh out." Raven was shocked!
"WHO WOULD DARE?!" He reared up, his hand flying to his weapon. Everyone in the pastry shop hit the floor, one man screaming "Bullets are going to fly!"
The girl ducked down, "Its not my fault! I swear! It was a man named ...... Crane."
Raven's face fell into a grim expression, it was almost as if his sunglasses faded back into black. Raven nodded.
** MANDATORY FLASHBACK SCENE! **
Thomas "Crane" Kim nodded to Nicholas. "So Nik, whats the game plan anyway?" He tosses a few cards towards his hat.
Raven looked up, "I figure we'll hit the defenses head on with three waves heavies first, lights and mediums jump in to get into the rear areas, and heavies to follow up. " Thomas nodded.
"Sounds good. Let's do it."
A little later Raven sat in his battlemech, downfield were the Clan defenses. They began the charge, knowing that they only had a little time until the Clan sensors picked them up in the sandstorm.
Suddenly Raven turned at a slight blip on his scanner, through the swirls of dust he saw a Mad Cat bearing down on them. Remaining calm Raven took aim and fired, then ordered all units to remain in the storm and follow it, informing them of what happened. As units acknowledged, one was conspiciously absent. Then, "Sorry mate, but I've got new friends now. Crane over and out."
Raven cursed, "You bastard! I'll get you for this."
Crane's cruel laugh was pure evil over the comm. "Only if you live!"
** END MANDATORY FLASH BACK SCENE **
Raven stepped out of the door, and stared straight ahead. Crane was there. His presence could be felt. His white trenchcoats glare could be seen in the morning light.
"So Crane. Long time since the raids." Raven turned to face him, stepping out onto the road, he unslung his pulse laser. "So what is going on?"
Raven slid a fresh battery into the gun, and armed it. "Not to much." Crane said pulling his own weapon out, a fully equipped machine gun.
"Got it. Why the muffins?" Raven raised the pulse laser.
"Cause I knew it would get your attention." He fired, Raven threw himself to the side and began blasting away with his laser. Cars and brick began to disintegrate in waves of heat. Bullets shreaded the potted plant he threw himself behind. He fired again. Then broke for an alley.
Charging between the two buildings he emerged on a new street threw himself into the air while twisting to fire back towards Crane. He managed to narrowly miss the blasts.
Getting up Raven ran up the street, then down another, machine gun fire following him every way. Soon the police were in on it, and after leaping over a barrier thanks to a well timed burst from Crane, Raven continually escaped. Soon he was on a familiar street. Firing again and again he ducked behind a recently painted BattleMech, machine gun fire tore into it in a hail of sparks. Firing with one hand Raven darted across the street, pulsed laser fire filling the air. Kicking open the door of the Bar & Grill, Raven dotted in, tossed his weapon to Lurch and leaped for his table. Sliding into his seat he grabbed a beer from Gangrene who let out a startled "HEY!" and then waited.
Suddenly the door was kicked up again and Crane walked through lifting his machine gun preparing to sweep the room with a fresh clip. From behind a large fist smashed into his head knocking him flat into the ground. "NO WEAPONS!" Lurch shouted, Crane dropped the machine gun, then stumbled about aimlessly for a moment, before finally falling down unconcious. Raven grinned and gestured to two guys who dragged him outside, threw him into a van and drove off. Raven laughed happily for a few minutes. Then ordered a blueberry muffin and orange juice.

Mo, Relax. I've taken care of that too. There is a one way Bio-mag field in front of each Glass window. It deflects any non-living objects to the side. That way Lurch can throw anyone he likes out the windows and the can't come in threw them. Even if they came in naked, any non-living material would be prevented of entering. (i.e. Fillings in the teeth, pins and screws or replacement Joints...)

Raven laughs, "Of course he could. Lurch is the bestestest." Then he becomes a little more serious, "You saying you don't like my style punk? You want to step outside? I've handled bandits with more honor. Screaming and paniking, you claim to be some kind of "hero," well if those are the hero's that the Ice Hellions produce, lets just say that the Inner Sphere has nothing to worry about." Raven walks up to Lurch, his back turned on Mo. Holding out his hand he collects his weapon and steps out the door and slips on his sunglasses.
Turning his head slightly he simply states. "Your circle of equals is now friend, for you challanged my honor, my integrity, and my intelligence. Prepare yourself." Raven walks out to the street where he prepares his weapon and waits calmly, the wind playing at his black coat, rippling it over him, the only motion that is allowed.
Slowly, from side streets, and buildings come a stream of people, all dressed like Raven. They slowly form a circle with Raven in the center. Deadly silent they wait, and all of them are heavily armed.

"Let's get REAEAEAEAEAEAEAEADY to RUMMMMMMMMMMMMMBLE!" could be heard from the loud speaker that had mysteriously appeared on the far side of the Circle.
I looked to the old Hellion Warrior across the bar, seeing if he would take the challenge. As I waited, I quaffed another in a series of endless Fusionnaires. Would this Hellion honor a challenge from a fellow Freebirth?

Raven grins as he waits for the dishonorable Hellion to answer his call. Will this lesser bird dare to challange the mighty raven? He does some warmups, twirling his weapon around, and shooting down targets that members of the cirlce throw into the air. Yet, he does not look at these targets. It is almost as if his gun moves of its own free will, targeting and tracking and firing pulses of deadly laser energy as it demands. Only stray pieces of hair moved in the wind, and across the circle, tumble brush blew crackling against the street.

Since I've sworn no oath to follow any code other then my own, I say i'm well within my bonds. I only use the circle of equals because the clanner has limited brain power to understand situations.
